Henry Clay War Hawk

A complex blend, boasting unique flavors, with plenty of spice.

The Henry Clay cigar brand is named after Henry Clay Sr., a former attorney and statesman who represented Kentucky in both the Senate and the House. He was the seventh House speaker and the ninth secretary of state.

A War Hawk is a term used in politics for someone who favors war to other solutions. Clay was one of the loudest calling for war against Great Britain in 1812 for the seizure of American ships, sailors, and support of Native Indian resistance.

The Henry Clay War Hawk cigar is a complex blend, boasting unique flavors, with plenty of spice. Hand-crafted in Honduras, War Hawk features a Honduran filler, Broadleaf binder, and Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. It’s available in three sizes including Corona, Robusto, and Toro.

“War Hawk is a mild-to-medium bodied cigar, enjoyed anytime of day, and best pairs with island lager, cream soda, or sweet coffee,” writes Matt W of The Cigar Box Indianapolis. He describes the flavor profile as ““notes of roasted peanut, white pepper, and a mineral zing on the finish.”

The Cigar Box is a family-owned, retail cigar store with two locations in Indianapolis and Carmel, Indiana. Learn more at www.thecigarboxonline.com.
